Wenger: Taylor should never play football again

eduardo's injury

It is always quite shocking to see what can happen to a player during a professional football match, and I'm sure that no right-minded fan would want anything less than a full return to fitness for Eduardo.

They did show the injury on MOTD this evening and it looked like a double open fracture (I know because I have have had one - but on a motorbike).

Many players have suffered horrific injuries like this: I remember David Busst for Coventry when he broke his leg, and see Schmeichel running away covering his eyes.

Djibril Cisse has also suffered 2 open fractures and returned to competitive play, perhaps Henrik Larsson showed the most resilience with his most awful injuries and prolific career afterwards.

Basically, as football fans we should wish Eduardo all the best and a speedy recovery, regardless of our alliances - because ultimately this could end his career (hopefully it will not).

Next time you watch the footie in the pub (or in the ground if lucky enough 2 have a ticket), raise your glass and toast Eduardo. Maybe the Angel Stella will grant him a speedy recovery.

Goodnite all.
Me.

Eduardo

No one wants to see a player injured in the way Eduardo was on Saturday. I am sure all football fans wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Don't agree with all the nasty comments being made about Martin Taylor. I believe it was a genuine attempt to play the ball and that Eduardo was just too quick (or not quick enough getting out of the way !!!).

Best wishes to both Eduardo and Taylor. It may take Taylor just as long to fully recover from this experience.

Saints Fan (and that's not easy at present !!!).
