Act I 

In the evening, two Arsenal fans meet next to a tree near Finsbury Park.. One of them, North Bank Gooner, is struggling to remove a trainer to soothe a sore foot. Tugging at it, he says in frustration, “There’s Nothing to be done.” 

East bank Gooner thought to himself this must be a very deep statement about life in general,  "Whay mate..I thought you were gone for ever.”
